Implant Therapy in the Aesthetic Zone.
Treating upper anterior teeth in the aesthetic zone is always demanding. It can be very hard to achieve a predictable outcome.
Patient selection: Understanding the patients expectations and explaining the outcome to the patient is paramount. To do this a clinician needs to understand the biology of the tissues type, defect and materials that are going to be used in every given case, as it varies from site to site and tooth to tooth.
This Lady had a post crown that she was unhappy with, it was also failing.
There are several ways we can approach this treatment. We decided to treat one tooth at a time in order to preserve rather than rebuild.
UL1: extracted, immediate implant (dentsply Ev) placement, customised healing abutment, bone augmentation in the buccal space. Temp crown to re-contour the soft tissue.

Final crowns were tried for the shape and fitted.
